When I was 15 I got in a terrible car accident with some of my best friends, we got into a head-on-collision with a tree, and I know that sounds like something I made up but its totally legit. I was in the backseat of a van and I hit the dashboard with my head. The three other girls were fine but I spent some time in the hospital I had a few skull fractures, broken jaw and broke my orbital socket; thats basically the bone that holds your eye. I had to have a huge surgery where my head was cut through my hair from ear to ear so they could replace that bone with a metal plate. Its still there, and if I have ever told you that I can stick magnets to it, I am a huge liar... its titanium but it does give me a hell of a headache when the climate changes and storms come.
So, sorry that I just went off on a tangent but the point is... I HATE hospitals. Last year I got used to them since I was there so often, but this time it will be different cause its my baby. I do fairly well when I take Boston to her check ups, Im sort of convinced that all the cute little fish decorations they have hanging up in her pediatricians office are more for scared parents and not the kids. I do usually cry worse than she does when she has to get shots, though.
I am not supposed to give her anything to eat or drink after mid night tomorrow night and I am dreading that since she almost always wakes up for a bottle once or twice. If you know of any good tricks to help me calm her down that night I would love it. Thank you for the overflowing amount of kind messages and encouragement This has actually been an amazing week, minus the lack of sleep. My mom always says "if you give them enough rope they will hang themselves," and sure enough, it is true.
