I woke up at seven so I could get ready before waking up Boston, she had a little bit of a rough night and I slept just as bad since I was so nervous. My mom came with us to her surgery which Bost is so lucky to have such a good grandma to drive down early in the morning because hospitals are not my forte.
We got there filled out the last of the papers and they took us to the pre-opt room. It was cuter than the adult rooms and Boston loved the pictures of the ducks on the wall. The smallest hospital gown they had didnt fit her so she just wore her onsie. My friend, Savannah works in that unit so she kept checking on things, it was nice to have a familiar face there. The nurses came in and checked her vitals and then it seems like really quick the anesthesiologist came and took her away. They didnt put her on a bed or do a long goodbye, which is really good cause I'm sure I would have been an even bigger baby.
They brought her back and it wasnt my normal Boston. They warned me what medicine will do to baby's but it didnt prepare me enough. She was screaming and her eyes were dazed, my heart broke. At one point she started gagging up mucous-blood, which they said was normal. She had tubes put in both ears and her adenoids removed. They also were a little worried about her lungs since she always has a constant rattle in them since she was born and it may be a chronic thing. We are getting it looked at in two weeks. Yesterday was full of terrible naps, attempting to put ear drops in, lots of tears (from both of us) and some good visitors. I'm still getting attacked online and emailed by the same person I have been for a while... which is sort of annoying since yesterday BB had an operation. But lack of class and respect is what I have come to expect.
We appriciate all of the amazing vibes that were sent to us, messages, treats, and good advice! She had a terrible night but is eating a little better today so thats a good sign!
