Let's get real... my natural hair without extensions is currently just a few inches down my back and its naturally blonde (no, not the screaming platinum blonde in some of those pictures but a calmer version). Since I torture my hair constantly I like to make sure I treat it well, too.
If we are discussing professional products I love BOSLEY. I'm sure you have seen infomercials for it; but the kind I use is the kind you can get from the beauty supply store, a salon,or someone you know who does hair professionally. Since having a thyroid problem I lost tons of hair, I am currently taking medications for it and I started using this, and I say with complete honesty it has made a huge difference. I can see all of the places my hair is coming back.
The dry Utah desert climate I am in doesn't help much so I at least one to two times a week I like to make an at home deep conditioning treatment, and today (since I am not going out in public with the scabs I have on my face from scraping fingernail polish off it it yesterday with acetone) I decided to share a few of my favorite, yet simple con-cautions.
** 1/2 a banana. 1 egg. coconut oil, oil oil, honey and water. Apply it to shampooed hair that's been towel dried and leave it on your desired amount of time.
Those are just a few of my favorites, if you arnt into mixing up eggs, and oils there are alternate ideas. After shampooing your hair, towel dry your hair, and comb through your favorite conditioner for your hair type. Put it on thick clip it up, cover with a shower cap and a towel to lock in the heat and leave it on for your desired amount of time before you rinse it out. My very favorite that isn't natural is any from the It's a Ten product line or Morrocian Oil line. If any of my stylist friends, friends I went to beauty school with or even former instructors want to share their best advice I would love it!
Here's to healthy hair.... and to hoping I can leave my house tomorrow with no scabs and blisters on my face... no joke, my face has blisters and scabs all over it from the acetone, but on the plus side the polish is gone?...I'm literally afraid to nap with the babe from now on, good thing I love her!
