17 year old Ashlynn

I found some old pictures and a high school journal of mine. I almost stopped breathing because I laughed so hard at the dramatics of that silly 17 year old girl. Today I wrote a list of what I wish I could tell her..

To 17 year old Ashlynn:

*Your parents actually really love you, a lot, If you get grounded or given advice it's only because they love you and know what is best for you. 

*Be nicer to your sisters; in the future they are going to end up being your best friends.

*One day Shayla will be mad at you, one day you will be mad at Brooke and one day you will all realize how dumb your fights were and be thankful that you three could get over them and be thankful that you were blessed with such good friends.

*Dont get that stressed over grades. Once you're done with school you will hardly use Algebra on a daily basis; but do pay attention in English, that will really pay off for you one day.

*Tanning beds should be a "no" sunscreen should be a "yes". You will thank me when that skin cancer gets painfully cut off.

*Its wonderful and nice to be important but it's more important to be nice. 

*Working at the Gingerbread Shoppe is NOT manual labor, don't complain about having to get to work by ten AM.

*Brad Dance is a nice guy, an amazing one, but it will take you a while to realize that you two should just be friends.

*Dont cut your long hair! It will take forever to get that length again.

*Don't color your pretty blonde hair! It will never be as healthy.

*Dont take for granted the fact that you get lunch money and an allowance, dont ask for more, that would be awesome to have now.

*You aren't even close to fat! Stop complaining.

*That nerdy little red head that you pushed into a locker might end up being the father of your child one day...(karma) be nicer to everyone.
