"Perfect"

I'm going to let everyone in on a little secret I try to hide... Ya ready for it...? Boston and I are not perfect.. AT ALL...

Some examples... That beautiful picture everyone loves...

The picture captured right before is when she hit me so she was kissing as her apology (I clearly wasn't pleased).

Another example... Here is how I wish we always put shoes on...

This is how it usually goes.,.

Lately my "perfect" baby (I tend to brag her up like any mom) is into hitting and hair pulling. I get down on her level to talk to her like every book suggests, I have her put her nose in the corner for one minute because she is one countless times and its just not doing the trick.

When you become a mother you are no longer the center of your own universe; you relinquish that position to your child. Boston turns 18 months tomorrow, which means that I will have been a mom for 18 months tomorrow. I have never been a "motherly" or "nuturing" person. Maybe because I was always the youngest I was used to people nuturing me. Boston  turning 18 months is a big deal; before Boston I literally couldn't keep a plant alive. I had a lucky bamboo plant that you only need to water once every two months and somehow I screwed that up.

So basically what I am saying is... I wish being a mom came with a handbook. I wish when I left the hospital with her they gave me a little pamphlet and said to make sure you follow every instruction and don't try to implement a change. Instead they just handed me a baby and told me good luck. If you have any awesome tips to get past his hitting/hair pulling phase we completely welcome the ideas!
Yet another example... our "perfect" fall pictures from last year...
a little behind the scenes of how they really went....

compared to this one...

I guess most the time it's pretty perfect...
We just got done jumping on the bed, and we loved it.
