Best things about having a baby

Some of the best things about having a baby:

1: You can sing and dance...in public places....and people don't think you are that weird....just a fun mom.

2: You can always order a kids meal (even if it is for you) and not get strange looks.

3: You are always someone's "happy". If your baby is sick, hurt, scared you get to be their happy place.

4: You get an excuse to dress up... You and your baby... Jammie's and kitty ears at the grocery store... It ain't no thing with a baby.

 

5: You never have to worry about an excuse. Late for work? The baby didn't feel good... Can't make it to a dinner party? The babysitter canceled...

6: You can literally fit almost anything in a diaper bag. I smuggled a pizza in our diaper bag at the last movie I went to.

7: You have an excuse to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas... Over and over and over again.

8: You always have someone to go do activities with. The activities that you secretly love but it could be embassaring to do by yourself; like feeding, lots of duck feeding.

  

9: You get to be excited about such little things. I almost cried crocodile tears of joy when Boston used her toilet without even telling me tonight. It's so amazing knowing that all of the little things a person is learning (words•clapping•songs•eating•dancing•ext) come from your teaching! You literally get to watch a person see so many things for the first time.

10: You get to pass on so much. Everything from your last name, your love for the Red Sox, your huge eyes and the silly facial expressions you make.

 

11: The cuddles, kisses and hugs. No matter how terrible a moment can be it (mostly) all dissolves when you get such a good hug followed by, "mamma"!

I love being a mom! I love that I get to enjoy all these things. I love my baby/best friend. I'm pretty positive she will never understand that I need her just as much as she needs me.
