Expect the Expected

I have always been given the advice that you should expect the unexpected and for a long time I used that as a good life rule to follow. Over the past few years I have decided that I am going to expected the expected and I won't ever be baffled by the outcomes. I expect Sugar Cookies on Thursdays at Old Grist Mille and I am never let down. I expect Boston to have to pull my hair while she falls asleep and she always does. Good people usually do good things, bad people tend to do bad things. I am no longer surprised when vindictive people do vindictive things. Ignorant people are most likely going to do ignorant things; expecting anything different would be foolish of me.

Life has been going great for us! One of our really good friends, Taya, is moving into our apartment complex tomorrow and even more exciting she is moving into the apartment right across the hall from us. She has a two month old adorable baby that Boston just loves. We are so excited for the fun times we are going to have.

This weekend was full of football, family and friends!
We froze our tooshie's off to watch some Preston football.
Shot some guns with my dad.
Made a ton of headbands to be shipped out.
And took advantage of the remaining good weather of the year and played outside in our Jammie's, boots and coats.

I have been blessed so much more than I deserve. Sometimes I get so caught up in school, work and be bustle of every day life and I have to step back and reavaluate my priorities. I love being able to blog and share our triumphs and our trials with so many. I can't believe how many nice messages we receive weekly from people and are so thankful for the encouragement. I expected that motherhood would welcome me with tons of challenges and I was right with that expectation. I was also expecting that being a mom would give me the most happiness I could imagine having  and I have been more than right with that expectation. Since I am now living to expect the expected I am going to make a very conscious effort to focus more on the positive expectations. I am so thankful every day with everything God has blessed me with.
