1•The mom who is overly obsessed with her child. Who doesn't interact with adults, only her baby(s).
2•The mom who hardly spends time with their child. Other people raise her baby(s) due to always being at work (which I'm not knocking working moms, I am one) going out every night or anything like that.
3•The mom who has the good balance. Spends a considable time with her baby but also takes time for herself and working on her.
This past year I have become the epitome of example number 1 and not in the good way. We counted seven weekend nights for all of 2013 that I actually went out. I would rather spend every second with Boston which legitimately has made me socially awkward around adults... Literally, I talked about the newest Sesame Street episode to the guy at the gym last week. I tend to get anxious leaving her with a sitter even just to go to a movie because A-I am worried about her needing me and B- my bully likes to tell people what a horrible mom I am for this. One of my goals for the new year is to become more balanced and a great version of mom number 3. I need to not be the overly-obsessed-helicopter mom to Boston and still regain some of myself but still be a kick-butt mom in the process. I need to learn to accept help, babysitters, advice; I can't do it all.
And, as always I am open suggestions of how you moms do this? I see some moms who do this flawlessly and I am envious.
Here is to resolution number one for 2014!

•Selfie Sunday with my babe.
•Made it to dinner with one of my best friends, Taya and Casey, for her birthday. Past 8:30, without our babies, it was a first.
•But no matter what always a mom first.•••
