In fifth grade my class learned about American history. Each of us were assigned a state to research and then write and give a little presentation about; my state to research was Massachusetts. I began to love it. I loved that Plymouth Rock, where Columbus first arrived on American soil, is. I love that the Salem Which trials were there, (sad but very interesting history), along with the Boston Tea party, and it played a pivotal location to the American Revolution. More than anything I love that Massachusetts houses Boston. Everything seemed perfect there, three amazing universities, Harvard (founded in 1636 and was the first organized university in North America), Boston and Tufts. I love that Fenway park, home of the Red Sox, is the only original baseball field still in use. I love that the celtics and the Patriots hail from there. Once the song "Boston" by Agustana came out in 2005 I knew I loved everything about it.
Boston was always going to be the name of my first son. I thought it sounded so perfect for a boy. When at 20 weeks along I was told that the boy I was expecting was going to be a girl I came up with plan B. We always knew that she was going to be a "Bronson" and knew that if I gave a more feminine middle name rather than using "Lynn" after my name, Boston as a girl would be perfect, and my obsession with the town in Massachusetts would work. That's where Boston Sophia Bronson originates from, and I think it suites her well. I love that my baby's name means so much to me to me, the town that I picture as perfect helped name my perfect baby. As much as I love her last name being Bronson I love her fist name being Boston just as much.
