America

I love the Fourth of July! Love love love it! I'm not a huge fan of winter holiday's like Christmas and Thanksgiving as much as good weather ones. Although we have some fun plans for the day starting with the Lewiston parade and ending with fireworks that might I know they this holiday is about so much more than summer time fun. Here are just a few of the reasons I am so thankful to be American.

•I have a good friend, Sam. He is a man and there isn't one right that he has that I don't have.

•On that same note I have friends of Asian, European, African, Native American descent and a ton of others and we are all free to vote and pursue our dreams the same way.

•It doesn't matter if you're pro-life, pro-choice, for legalizing weed or against it. In our amazing country we are able and entitield to have our own opinion.

•In America it doesn't matter which God you choose to believe in or if you choose not to believe in one. The main point is that what ever your religious beliefs may be that it is yours to choose and act on.

•When I found out I was pregnant I was working part time and going to school. Because I live in America there were programs that were available to help me get on my feet. I know... I know... Everyone has heard of stories of people who 'cheat the system' but their are also people who that system has been literally a lifeline for. Because I am American that system was for me.

•Growing up my parents made sure I traveled and experienced so much of this country. I can play on a sandy beach, camp in the mountains, enjoy a night in the city or look across the Great Plains all in one beautiful county.

•Because I live in America I get to have pride and I get to have security. I am proud that my ancestors, including my dad and grandpa, fought for the rights I get to experience. I get to have the security and peace of mind knowing that their are men AND women who sacrifice so much, become hero's to ensure the safety of the people that live here.

I am with you... Paying taxes in a real pain in the A but I would gladly pay a small portion of my earnings for the opportunity to live here. Trust me when I say people would literally die for that same chance. Out of of every country I have ever been to I can say without a doubt that America is the best.

HAVE A HAPPY HOLIDAY.
