Any quality that I own that I can say is good about me I get from Boston. I know that seems like a strange thought since you usually acquire traits from your parents not your children but I can honestly say that my little best friend is the best part about me.
She has taught me more about life in her two and a half years than I have learned in my whole life. She has taught me about empathy by giving me the most sincere hugs when she knows I need it. She has taught me how to be less selfish and has made it so much easier for me to effortlessly put someone else's needs before mine for the first time in my life. She is so cool and she doesn't even try. She cares about what makes her happy, the people she loves and what makes the people she loves happy without worrying about the opinions of others.
She has pushed me to be better. I wan't life to be better for her, I want to live in a way that she is proud to have me as her mom. She always tells me the truth, whether it's that she loves me even when she is mad at me or that my hair is messy and she tries to fix it.
If I am happy it's usually because of her. If I am kinder it's because she has helped me to be. If I have more patience the credit can be given to her. She has literally made all of my ordinary moments extraordinary. Going to a movie is fun and all but going to a movie with the right person is the best.
My baby is pretty rad, she make life pretty rad and she doesn't know it yet but because of her I am starting to be kind of rad as well... or, at least if I kind of am it's all because of her. When I am sad she cheers me up, when I am happy she makes me happier. She makes me laugh so hard and do silly things I would never ever do without her. Her laugh is contagious and I am almost positive if every single person got a chance to hear it the world would be a much better place. I can honestly say, with 112% certainty, that my baby is the best thing about me.
