ASHLYNN & BOSTON: Our new 'family' member

We wanted to share with everyone that as of Sunday evening we have a brand new family member in our home! As I have gotten older I have come to the realization that I'm not really an 'animal person'... Like, I like them, and I think they are great for others to own but it's just a lot of responsibility when I already have things I am responsible for. Boston, however, is the epitome of an animal person. She honestly can't even handle herself around animals and usually just shakes and talks about how it's so cute and little when she see's one.

Sunday afternoon we went with my sister, Alicia's, family since they had found some kittens that they were going to get. I had full intentions of just going along for the ride since it was a pretty mellow Sunday. After seeing how Boston fell so in love with the runt of the litter I couldn't leave without it. She was so happy so I was so happy.

So, for now I guess we are animal people. We have bought it some toys, a litter box, food, a bed and it has had Boston's undivided attention. Boston has even been so helpful as to show the kitten how to use the litter box Monday night... Literally, I walked into the room and Boston was trying to potty in the litter box, so, there's that....

I told her the other night that she couldn't have the kitty sleep in her bed so Boston put her stuffed Cookie Monster in the kittens bed along with a picture of her so the kitten wouldn't be scared.

She is MORE than pleased with her new pet kitten who she named on Sunday, Puppy. Yesterday though she kept calling her, 'Tiny Baby'... so, we will see what name actually sticks. "Tiny Baby/Puppy" is a good kitten, she uses the litter box every time, eats her food when we show it to her and is so excited to see us every time we come home. I'm pretty positive I made a good decision getting her.
