Becoming a 'Baby Person'

I was never a 'baby person'.... you know the people, right? The ones who look at baby clothes in the store for no reason, the people who ohhh and awwee over the random babies they see at wal mart . So I have this friend, we will just call her Brittney Thalman to make things more simple, Brittney LOVES babys, she babysits Boston for me, and literally when she is around Boston she gets drunk off her. I have never been one of those people. Before Boston if I saw your child sure I thought they were cute, I thought they were interesting for how small they were but that was it.

When I found out about Boston...well obviously I was worried about a lot of things...(self explanatory) but one huge thing I was worried about was if I was even going to like her, what I would do with her, and if I would get sick of her.

Boston was born at 3:57pm on February 24, 2012.. after being in labor for 24 (freaking) hours..I was so sick the whole time, and throwing up, and passing out, so I passed some of that on to her and she had to be taken right away to get some help. Something else about me, is I hate body's, I hate blood, I am embarrassed to say this but I was so grossed out while I was pregnant that their was a human inside of me. So the moment she was pulled out, I had to look away...it freaked me out.. Well, Boston was taken for a bit, I was getting worked on myself for a while, and I didnt get to see her for a few hours later...(but yes, I was very specific that I got to be the first family member to hold her).

So I held her finally, and I fell in love. and ever since that day, I have became a 'Baby Person'. I love watching her learn things, I love watching her sleep, I love every single thing about her! Just the other day I watched a documentary about baby's, something I would have never done before.

Before her I was selfish and shallow and I would tend to worry about just me. I loved buying myself new things. Now as much I would like to say this has all completly changed and I am in the running for the next Mother Theresa, I am a lot different. I would rather buy BB a new outfit and I have learned to go without going out to fun dinners to make sure she gets what she needs. I am ok with messy hair and no sleep as long as she is happy.

So while I am on my I love babys spill here are some of my favorite things..
*Paul Mitchell's Shampoo for babys. Baby Dont Cry.. smells soooo good
*The Baby Bullet. I love making Bostons food and being able to know exactly what she eats.
*Mt Dew... thats just for myself
*Avon Bubble Bath. It makes the best bubbles out of all the bubble baths we have tried and smells so good.
*The Lullaby Pandora Station.
*The email list to the Childrens Place.

If anyone wants to message me some of their favorites I would LOVE that!

  2. Nobody is truly a baby person until that moment happens, and that first feeling of falling in love never goes away.
You're amazing Ash... one of the best mommas I've ever seen. BB is a lucky little gal and I am so grateful to call you my friend!
