It's Mother's Day weekend and I always like this weekend because I was extremely fortunate to be blessed with the mom I have. She has sacrificed so much for me. She went without things so that her kids could have what they wanted. She slept on an air mattress in Boston's room the first month and a half of her life so they she could take care of both of us. I look so much like her. Boston and I get our big eyes from her. She has always been my number one teammate and my biggest cheerleader. If you have met my mom you probably agree she is pretty great. These are some obvious things but I wanted to share a few things about my mom people might not know.
•She grew up on a farm with three younger brothers.
•She hunts. My mom has shot birds, deer and elk to help feed our family.
•She worked on a mink farm to put my dad, Michael, through school.
•Speaking of my dad a few years after they were married they got in a terrible accident and for the next almost twenty something years she took care of not only her three kids but her husband whom was in a wheelchair. That's a bad-ass mom.
•When my dad did pass away she stayed so strong for her daughters.
•She loves to travel.
•She literally has the best marriage with my dad, Kevin, and sets an outstanding example of what a good relationship is for me.
*She takes the best care of her lawn and garden.
*She makes amazing apple dumplings.

•She thinks she has a lot of my grandpa in her but her kind and selfless acts she does for so many I see a lot of my grandma in her as well.
I could go on and on about how great my mom is and all she has done for me but this year I decided to enlist a little help....
